About Gift of Life
The “choice” versus “life” question is not abstract or theoretical. It’s about real people. It’s about you or someone you know or someone you could have known. Since Roe v Wade, it’s about 50 million missing individual lifetimes.Immaculate Heart Radio’s Gift of Life, hosted by Toni Berry, explores the pro-life side of all modern life issues and why these “issues” effect real people every day. We look for the human faces in the stories and in the research.
Gift of Life conveys the 2,000 year Catholic world view. It is God who creates life. It’s arrogant, foolish, and profoundly evil for people to destroy it without true justification. It is a cold rejection of God. But there are many other reasons to defend life; for example, those found in Natural Law, and the U.S. Declaration of Independence.
Toni often interviews nationally recognized guests who tell us of the latest efforts to transform our culture into a culture that embraces life. Prominent life issues are considered— assisted suicide, euthanasia, artificial contraception, in vitro fertilization, “Plan-B” Morning-After Pill, unborn victims of violence, human cloning.
Father Norm King, Gift of Life's chaplain, regularly appears on the show, leading us in prayer and blessing the work of defending life.
Another important part of the show is news of grass-roots work and resources in the cause of life in our listening areas. Gift of Life provides a practical, on-air connection for the listener with her and his local community, including help for expectant mothers and fathers and their families. Also for all the survivors of the tragedy of abortion.
