Development Coordinator

Responsibility Summary:

To help spread the knowledge, love and practice of the Catholic Faith through the fulfillment of the following responsibilities: provide development, communications and fundraising support for Immaculate Heart Radio. Ensure all activities promote the mission of Immaculate Heart Radio.

Typical Duties:

  • Assist with event planning and coordination
  • Assist in the development of fundraising/development related policies, procedures and documentation
  • Provide support for Leadership, Directors of Community Relations and development staff/volunteer work performed in the field.
  • Develop and negotiate project related agreements with vendors, facilities and service providers.
  • Coordinate special projects
  • Develop reports and documents for leadership and decision making purposes
  • Prepare letters and send out mailings, correspondence other listener/donor related communication
  • Coordinate communication between development/fundraising team members
  • Provide administrative support to development/fundraising team members
  • Ensure high level of customer service in relationship
  • Prepare requests for proposals (RFP) and grant proposals.
  • Prepare all required reports and correspondence.
  • Coordinate volunteer assistance.
  • Provide listener/donor support and respond to their requests
  • Provide administrative and clerical support
  • Coordinate development/communications/fundraising related special projects
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor relationships
  • Provide database operation and information organization and retrieval.
  • Evaluate information reporting and tracking processes and make recommendations to improve systems.
  • Perform data entry.
  • Support and promote the vision and mission of IHR
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge Required:

  • Computer operation and software applications including desktop publishing, word processing, database and spreadsheet applications
  • Principles of sound business practices
  • Basic fundraising and development methods
  • Organizational policies, procedures and operations
  • Contract development and administration
  • Effective communications techniques

Education Required:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Institutional Advancement or related field, with two years of development support experience or any equivalent in education and experience that provides the above listed skills, knowledge and abilities.

Licenses Required:

  • Valid California Driver’s License
